An Idea to Help NZ's Wild Horses

In the last newsletter, I sent out an idea for a project for the Crafter's Club to help our wild horses, the kaimanawas. For those of you who haven't read the newsletter, here's my idea.

1. We, as a club, make things to sell (these could be model horse tack, horsey crafts, or just things that you can make to sell) 2. Everyone will post their things to sell to me, and I will list them on our Etsy shop and/or TradeMe 3. Your creations will be for sale for a month, and all profits made in that month will go to Kaimanawa Heritage Horses 4. I will send the remaining things back to you We would set a goal, and plan prices around reaching that goal.

At the moment, I haven't had many people get in touch. If you are keen to help, please reply to this post, and have a think about what you could make. Keep in mind that it must be of a high standard (good enough to sell), and easy to post (small).

Here’s some ideas of what I was thinking of making, for inspiration:

-Saddle pads -Tendon boots -Rope halters with horsemanship leads -Custom horses (maybe that even looked like Kaimanawas?)

Other ideas could be...

-You could make anything from a tutorial I have done -You could make Kaimanawa themed things (tack, customs, bags, masks even?)

So, if you are keen, please reply to this post, or email me at craftersclubnz@gmail.com

If you can't help with this for any reason, go check out what Emily is doing in her forum thread. She is selling things already to help KHH, so go support her!
